You turn the pendant around and look at a bare back. With a diamond painting Christmas bauble, that stands out extra as soon as it spins on a branch. This free worksheet therefore has one symmetrical motif for both sides: 426 drills per side, 852 for the whole pendant.
It will be a flat Christmas pendant, not a covered round bauble. The grid is 24 × 28 squares: 6 × 7 cm with 2.5 mm square drills. The base and the suspension hole fall outside that grid.

Diamond painting Christmas bauble: choose the back first
A pendant rotates. Two decorated sides are therefore my preference: the same motif remains recognizable, even if the thread winds back up. The price of that is simple: twice as many drills and two surfaces on which the glue must hold.
Does it hang against a wall or on a gift bag? Then just leave the back empty. Adding a second side that nobody sees is no improvement. The count below shows both choices.

The 246 white squares per grid remain empty. If you calculate the whole rectangle full, you are ordering for another design. The colors are a proposal, no guarantee that a screen color matches a DMC number. Lay your real drills side by side and use the DMC color chart to organize your stock.
Does a 6 × 7 cm pattern fit on your pendant?
The worksheet proposes a flat base of 8 × 9.5 cm. On that, 1 cm remains on the left, right and bottom; at the top is a free strip of 1.5 cm for the suspension hole. The PDF draws that at actual size. You therefore do not need to cut out the carrier along the jagged grid edge.
Those dimensions belong to 2.5 mm square drills. If you use a different size, the design changes along with it. Check the diamond painting size calculator page before you buy a carrier. You do not fold a flat grid around a sphere without distortion.
- Print page two at 100%, without "fit to page".
- Measure the check line: it must be 50 mm long. If that is incorrect, fix the print setting before you cut.
- Hold the paper example against your chosen carrier. Mark the suspension hole above the bead area.
- Test your adhesive material on a scrap piece of the same base first and follow the drying time on the packaging.
A paper pattern is not yet an adhesive layer
You need a flat carrier, matching adhesive material, drills, pen, wax and tray in addition to the download. Use the grid as a counting example on a suitable blank adhesive base. Regular printer paper does not become sticky because there is a pattern on it.
Ruth Cartwright shows a working method with double-sided adhesive paper. Her explanation is about making small motifs; our grid and count are custom designs. Do not assume suitability for your carrier without a test piece.
Finish the first side and let the used glue dry according to the packaging before you turn the pendant over. Support the finished side so you do not press on the drills. Make the second side with the cap at the top again. You do not need to mirror this symmetrical motif left-right.
A test piece first, then all Christmas gifts
