Four people crowd around a single canvas and two can't reach anything. For a diamond painting birthday, a joint gift works more pleasantly if everyone has their own piece in front of them. This group mosaic consists of eight work sections that together form one gift with a bow.
You download an overview and eight separate worksheets. Each section counts exactly 192 drills; the whole counts 1,536. With 2.5 mm square drills, the design becomes 12 × 8 cm. That is the bead area, without passe-partout or spacing.

Diamond painting birthday: divide sections, not colors
Give someone a complete work section instead of "all green drills". Then that person can work independently and finish something. Eight equally large sections give everyone the same number of positions. They do not necessarily take the same amount of time: experience and color changes count as well.

| Makers | Division | Drills per maker |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | A–D / E–H | 768 |
| 4 | A+E / B+F / C+G / D+H | 384 |
| 8 | One letter each | 192 |
With three, five, six or seven participants, the division remains unequal. Let someone voluntarily make an extra section or save the remaining sections for later. You do not have to turn it into a competition. The same setup fits an anniversary or farewell: put names and date on the framing.
How many drills do you prepare per workstation?
Each sheet contains its own color count. Sort by that, not by eight equal scoops from a large bag. A corner section contains different colors than a section through the bow. For the entire image, these are the counts, without reserve:
| Symbol | Color proposal | Drills |
|---|---|---|
| C | Cream | 417 |
| G | Green | 338 |
| R | Red | 364 |
| Y | Yellow | 417 |
For a continuous color, use the same stock for all makers. Two bags with the same number can look different in reality. Compare them in the same light; the DMC color chart helps find codes back, but does not replace that comparison.
Separate workpieces make joining less tight
That is the disadvantage of this approach. Eight people can work simultaneously, but eight separate carriers can cause seams or uneven edges. We therefore do not promise a seamless result. If you want one uninterrupted grid, work on a single adhesive canvas in turns and use the worksheets only to outline the sections.
For simultaneous work, use eight matching blank adhesive grids of 12 × 16 cells. One section is 3 × 4 cm at 2.5 mm. When choosing the carrier, take any borders into account: those are not included in the 12 × 8 cm of the design. Check the diamond painting size calculator page if you use other drills.
- Print the correct letter page for each maker. The large grid is a counting example; the small grid is the size test.
- Measure the 50 mm check line at 100% print. Paper alone is not an adhesive canvas.
- Write the letter and an arrow pointing up on the back of the carrier, before there are drills on it.
- Work with your own pen and tray. Keep food and drink outside the work area.
- Lay the finished pieces dry next to each other: A B C D top, E F G H bottom. Check the bow before you fix anything.
Do not make the birthday person wait for a deadline
Hand out the sections in advance if the gift needs to be finished on the birthday. Starting together during the party is also possible, but then finishing later is part of the plan. You cannot derive a reliable duration from 192 drills. We have digitally checked this design, not made it with a group on time.
Heartful Diamonds advises for a diamond painting party, among other things, sufficient tools and explanation for beginners. The Crafts Council has practical guides for crafting together. Our worksheet adds the concrete task division and count.
This proposal is for adults and older hobbyists who can work safely with loose small parts. Follow the age indication of your materials. It is not a tested children's party kit.
A custom photo calls for a division again
For a personal image, start at diamond painting converter and view the crop with make diamond painting pattern. A face must not accidentally disappear on a seam. Make the complete pattern first; only then outline the work sections. The personal Studio PDF is paid, the fixed gift worksheet above is free.
Write down eight names or initials next to A through H on the overview already. When all sections are back, check the orientation and connecting colors first. Only then does the joint gift get its final framing.
